We are top of the league
After a disappointing and controversial defeat last time out to York in the cup, the 3rd XI enacted revenge with a convincing 4-0 win over UCLan on Wednesday to maintain their 100% record in the league. Jordan Belfort, Audrey Bowyer, Tom Taylor and Emperor WOW got the goals, with the Pride yet to concede a goal in the league. Bellend and Jolly's match report
Meanwhile, the 1st XI enjoyed their first away day of the season, travelling into the beating heart of Manchester to take on Man Met. After a quiet first half, with 4 goals scored, the proverbial floodgates opened in the second half, with 13 goals being scored, 12 of them by the visitors. Kaiser somehow managed to let one in to maintain his position as the worst goalkeeper in LUMHC history. A car park challenge followed for the boys, leading to a raucous return bus trip, which took longer than planned. Fortunately, entertainment was on hand from Buster, Ink, Phil and Pete, with a particularly heartfelt rendition of Hero by Enrique Inglesias. Chaz's match report
Meanwhile, back in sunny Lancaster, Alvin and Eileen were back at it again. Not content with shattering the 2nd XI last week on behalf of Bishop Burton, this week they turned out for local partner club UCum. Unfortunately they couldn't do much to stop an 8-1 loss for the boys, but Alvin insists that he was very close to scoring and becoming UCum as well as Bishop Burton's top scorer.
