Another very successful week for the club in the books. The 3rd XI bounced back from their Roses defeat to York in the cup with a big 4-0 win in the local derby against UCLan. Meanwhile, the 1st XI carried on their merry way, with a tense 16-1 win over MMU on Wednesday before a 7-2 victory on Saturday.
Match reports from Wednesday
Team bonding and Fall of Rome
Whilst academic commitments are racking up for everyone, the hockey boys still found time to do what they do best; socialise. With no game on the Wednesday, the 2nd XI took the sensible decision of having a team social on Tuesday night, which featured a lovely curry at Binbay Balti before a 2nd XI takeover of DJ Wez's birthday bash at Hustlay.
Wednesday saw the ever popular social that is Fall of Rome. Unfortunately, Fistus Maximus, Bushbii and VKXXXXVII were all killed in the line of duty, a sad, sad sight for all, whilst the lights went out for Commander Tedus just at the wrong moment. Saturday was a somewhat calmer affair, with Anders turning up and drinking tea before leaving again. |
