This week probably saw the first setback that the club has seen on the pitch, with the 1st XI losing their 100% record and the Dev Squad losing their first ever game. However, the 1st XI bounced back with 2 wins in a double header in Saturday League over the weekend

Emotional story of the week by Haggis
Wednesday was an emotional rollercoaster of a day for our group of die hard corner shop can enthusiasts. The group was hit hard by the devastating loss of Black Storm, a corner shop warrior if there ever was one, weighing in at a large 7.5%. We said our prayers and gave it the send off it deserved.
Just as group morale hit rock bottom, we were saved. There, just in front of us, was Ali's Mini Market, a stalwart of the corner shop can scene. With some Oranjebloom and K Cider cans purchased from his most reputable of outlets, we were able to recover from the terrible loss we suffered earlier in the day.
RIP Black Storm 2016-16. Gone but not forgotten.

Christmas jumper social and VK World Cup
Bellend making movesAfter a disappointing day on the pitch for the club on Wednesday, the boys resorted to an old tactic to forget about their pains: social. A number of 2nd XI members also joined the fun in their Christmas jumpers, slowly finding their way to social after their long and arduous away day in Manchester. Unfortunately it all proved to be too much for Conrad, who decided to pick a fight with the Bentley's steps, coming off second best.
Saturday saw the arrival of one of the most trusted socials: VK World Cup. With everybody dressed in their garments as various world leaders, pre-tournament favourites Bellend and Mincie unsuprisingly justified the hype with strong performances from both of them. However, it was Mince Pie who eventually came out on top, with Bellend obviously distracted by what was to come in Sugar. |
