LUMHC secure first Roses title for 3 years
After years of disappointing results despite positive performances, LUMHC emerged from Roses 2017 as 6-3 winners over UYHC's male division to seal perhaps the most memorable season in the club's history. After Indoor on Friday secured two points out of a possible two, LUMHC went into Saturday with real momentum, with all three teams standing a realistic chance of victory. The 3rd XI were punished for not putting away their chances, as York scored with the last touch of the game to cruelly deny the Pride a deserved victory. On the other hand, the 2nd XI didn't do themselves justice after a stellar league campaign, eventually going down 4-0 as they never really got started. The 1st XI made amends for the two disappointing results earlier in the day, trouncing York by 4 goals to 1 to spark a pitch invasion and celebrations that would carry on long into the night.
